TEXAS SHARK TANK (TST) is a one-of-a-kind entrepreneurial case competition hosted by the University Securities Investment Team and the Texas Convergent. TST gives UT students the chance to pitch a business idea to a panel of angel investors, investment professionals, and serial entrepreneurs. Students will come up with their own idea, develop a business plan/implementation strategy, and a product mockup to pitch to judges. Texas Convergent will be hosting a two week incubator program to assist competition participants in building out their ideas. Texas Shark Tank starts on March 7th, culminating with the Pitch Day on April 1.
Determine if your idea is viable by analyzing the market, the needs of the target audience, costs and benefits, and competition.
Leverage Texas Convergent's interdisciplinary talent and group structure to build technical mockups accompanying your team's business model.
During the event, get advice from experienced industry folk, an opportunity to network with talent, and potentially seed funding from investors.
